Akin Advises Centrica on Long-Term LNG Purchase from Delfin LNG Project

(London and New York) – Akin advised Centrica on its long-term purchase of LNG from the first phase of the Delfin LNG project (Delfin FLNG 1).
Delfin FLNG 1, which reached financial close on its financing on June 3, 2026, is the first floating LNG liquefaction facility in the United States and is the largest floating LNG project to date globally.
The Akin team was led by oil & gas partner Rob Butler, with support on project finance-related matters provided by partners Ike Emehelu in New York and Inderveer Hothi in London.
