Akin Again Named Healthiest Employer in Washington
For the second consecutive year, Akin has been recognized in first place in Washington, D.C. in the “500 to 1,499 Employees” category of Healthiest Employers’ annual competition.
The Healthiest Employer contests were created to recognize “people-first organizations taking a more proactive approach to employee health.” Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: culture and leadership, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.
The firm’s published profile spotlights the expansion of its fitness and well-being reimbursement program, adding “the utilization of this benefit by U.S. personnel increased by nearly 40% compared to the previous year, with 43% of the eligible population taking advantage of it, resulting in a 115% increase in reimbursement payments.”
Last month, the firm took second place in the Healthiest Employers contest for Southern California in the “1,000 to 4,999 Employees” category (learn more here).
