Akin Again Recognized in GAR 100 Guide to Leading International Arbitration Practices

Akin has again been selected for inclusion in Global Arbitration Review’s annual GAR 100 guide of the top law firms with international arbitration capabilities. 

In the firm’s published profile, GAR noted international arbitration head Mark Clarke, and international litigation & arbitration partners Justin Williams and Graham Lovett in London and the Middle East, respectively. Ryan Whelan and Michael Stewart, who are senior counsel and counsel respectively, are also mentioned.   

The publication also highlighted the firm's work securing a US$1.17 billion ICC award against Korek in 2024 due to its breach of a loan agreement. The firm’s profile also noted that Akin is representing a Brazilian oil and gas company Dommo Energia against Petronas, Malaysia’s national oil company, in a US$1.5 billion dispute.
