Akin Awarded ‘Pro Bono Firm of the Year 2023’ by Who’s Who Legal

Who’s Who Legal has selected Akin as the Pro Bono Firm of the Year 2023 honoree.
The award recognizes Akin for its “remarkable dedication to pro bono work across its global network of offices” and “exceptional engagement at all levels of seniority.”
Who’s Who Legal notes that, across the research period, Akin lawyers contributed more than 64,000 hours to pro bono causes, including representation of migrants on the U.S. border who are subject to Migrant Protection Protocols, and the Barbers Hill Independent School District litigation, which aimed to address racial discrimination against high-school students in Texas.
