(Washington, D.C.) – The Legal 500, in its 2018 edition of The Legal 500 Latin America, has ranked Akin Gump among the world’s top firms for its work in Projects and Energy in Latin America for the fifth consecutive year.

In the profile of the firm, The Legal 500 notes that Akin Gump “has an especially strong record in power and oil and gas projects in Mexico and Central America” and “is now broadening its activities to the rest of South America.” The firm’s Latin America team has “made a big push to develop its practice in Cuba, leveraging the firm’s globally renowned public law and policy practice.”
