Akin Gump Recognized in Two Categories of TMA’s Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards
(New York) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that two deals on which it advised were named winners of the 2019 Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards, presented by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
In the International Company Turnaround of the Year category, financial restructuring partner Ira Dizengoff was recognized for his work in the restructuring of Seadrill, Limited. Dizengoff and an Akin Gump team advised Seadrill’s unsecured bondholders.
In the International Company Transaction of the Year, TMA selected Agrokor d.d., in which financial restructuring partners James Roome and Liz Osborne led a team acting as independent international legal counsel in connection with the negotiation, agreement and implementation of the settlement plan in relation to Agrokor and its subsidiaries.
The TMA Turnaround and Transaction Awards, among the most prestigious and important recognition in the industry, will be presented at the TMA Annual Conference in Cleveland in September.
