Akin Gump Shortlisted for CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year Awards for AliExpress Russia Work

(Moscow) – A Russian joint venture, in which Akin Gump advised one of the parties, has been shortlisted for the 2019 CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year Awards.

The firm was recognized for its work in the formation of AliExpress Russia, a joint venture between Mail.ru, the leading Internet and IT company in Russia; Alibaba Group, a global digital commerce company; PJSC MegaFon, a pan-Russian operator of digital opportunities; and the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Russia’s sovereign wealth fund.

Winners of the CEE Deal of the Year Awards, which recognize the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe, will be announced in London on April 23.
