Akin Named Again Among ‘Healthiest Employers’ in Texas

Akin achieves high rankings as a “Healthiest Employer” in Texas for a 3rd consecutive year. The firm earned the #2 spot in its category of “500-1,599 Employees” in the annual Healthiest Employers competition for 2024.

The organization notes Akin as having “long prioritized mental health and well-being in the legal industry, predating their involvement as an inaugural signatory to the American Bar Association's Well-Being Pledge in 2018. Their Mental Health Advisor program exemplifies this commitment, offering onsite and virtual counseling sessions paid by the firm to address personal and professional concerns.”

Akin’s New York and Washington D.C. offices have also achieved first place recognitions from Healthiest Employers since 2022. Additionally, Akin was recognized in Southern California last year, where the firm received second place in the competition.  

The Healthiest Employer contests recognize “people-first organizations taking a more proactive approach to employee health” across six key categories: culture & leadership, foundational components, strategic planning, communication & marketing, programming & interventions and reporting & analytics.
