Akin Recognized as a Top-Performing Lobbying Firm in 2024 by Bloomberg Government

Akin has been recognized as a top-performing lobbying firm in 2024 by Bloomberg Government in its Top Lobbying Report, which focuses on the performance of firms that disclosed $1 million or more in lobbying revenue in filings with the Senate and House. 

Reflecting on the year, Akin lobbying & public policy co-head Hunter Bates tells Bloomberg Government that “Congressional work ahead of this year’s expiration of the 2017 tax law” and the “routine spending-bill decisions” drove lobbying revenue in 2024. 

The firm also saw an uptick in client demand on issues involving tech policy according to senior counsel Reggie Babin who tells Bloomberg Government, “the fundamentals remain very strong for at least incremental initial actions from Congress.”
