Benefits Law Journal has published the article “New DOJ Focus on Executive Compensation in Resolving Criminal Investigations,” which discusses the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) recently announced policy updates “tethering resolution of criminal investigations to a company’s compensation and bonus programs.”
The article, first published as an Akin client alert, was authored by Akin international trade partner Jon Poling, senior counsel George Pence and associate Alison Trimble; executive compensation and benefits partner Wells Miller; and white collar defense & government investigations co-head Chuck Connolly and partner Peter Altman. The authors examine the areas in which the DOJ has focused its examinations in order to consider these new policy updates.
