Akin Wins Legalweek’s Leaders in Tech Law Award

Akin has won the Best Use of Emerging Technology (Non-AI) Award at the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards 2025. 

According to Legalweek, the awards honor “those who have made significant contributions to legal innovation from law firms, corporate legal departments and legal tech providers.” 

The firm was recognized for its Write-Off Approval & Analytics Platform (WRAP), a revolutionary business workflow system that streamlines the process of requesting, reviewing and approving write-downs to client bills prior to invoicing.   

In the published Q&A profile, Akin director of information technology solutions Aravind Ambalavanan discusses the platform, highlighting the importance of cross-functional teamwork and collaboration, the use of the latest advanced technology and WRAP's ability to capture and analyze crucial data for better decision-making. “Legal innovation is about creating solutions that not only address current challenges but also anticipate future needs, ensuring that legal services remain relevant and effective in an ever-evolving landscape,” he says.
