American Heart Association Again Honors Akin Workplace Well-Being Achievement with Gold-Level Recognition
Akin is pleased to share that for the second year in a row the American Heart Association has bestowed upon the firm national gold-level Workforce Well-being Scorecard™ recognition.
The Scorecard evaluates factors such as mental health policies, organizational well-being strategies to address burnout, health equity measures, employee financial resources and more to provide a comprehensive assessment of an organization’s culture of health.
The American Heart Association, a global force for healthier lives for all, developed the Workforce Well-being Scorecard in collaboration with top scientists and industry experts to reflect the latest evidence-based science on workforce health and wellbeing.
In October, Akin was one of three organizations to receive the inaugural Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace (learn more here). Between August and November, the firm’s D.C. and N.Y. offices were named “Healthiest Employer,” by organization size, for their respective cities; Akin took second place for Texas (learn more here and here).
