Best Lawyers Selects Nine Akin Gump Partners as 2013 “Lawyers of the Year”

On September 11, Best Lawyers announced the 2013 Best Lawyers in America “Lawyers of the Year.” 

Nine partners from Akin Gump were selected for this honor:

Barry A. Chasnoff has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 San Antonio Bet-the-Company Litigation “Lawyer of the Year.”

Stephen D. Davis has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Houston Energy Law “Lawyer of the Year.”

Dianne B. Elderkin has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Philadelphia Litigation - Patent “Lawyer of the Year.”

Orrin L. Harrison III has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Dallas Litigation - Regulatory Enforcement (SEC, Telecom, Energy) “Lawyer of the Year.”

Rex S. Heinke has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Los Angeles Litigation - First Amendment “Lawyer of the Year.”

R. Laurence Macon has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 San Antonio Litigation - Antitrust “Lawyer of the Year.”

Robin M. Schachter has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Los Angeles Litigation - ERISA “Lawyer of the Year.”

Valerie A. Slater has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Washington DC International Trade and Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year.”

Adam S. Umanoff has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Los Angeles Project Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year.”

This news follows the recent announcement (reported here) that 85 of the firm’s lawyers have been selected for inclusion in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
