Brad Kahn Named One of American Bankruptcy Institute’s 40 Under 40 Award Winners

(New York) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that Brad Kahn, a financial restructuring partner in the firm’s New York office, has been selected by American Bankruptcy Institute as one of its 40 Under 40 award winners for 2022.

Mr. Kahn’s practice focuses on large, complex in-court and out-of-court corporate restructurings. Along with the other winners, he will be recognized at a special ceremony at ABI’s 2022 Winter Leadership Conference in La Quinta, California on December 9.

Now in its sixth year of the initiative, the publication received more than 200 nominations for this recognition, all with outstanding records of professional achievement and community leadership. These were evaluated by members of a 20-person steering committee.

In its profile of Mr. Kahn, ABI spotlighted his practice and experience, his industry recognitions, the matters on which he’s worked—including representation of the official committee of unsecured creditors in Delta Air Lines’ debt restructuring, along with restructurings involving Talen Energy, Intelsat, Nordic Aviation Capital and FirstEnergy Solutions—and his work as a mentor for junior lawyers and as engine for establishment of the firm’s Financial Restructuring Diversity Scholars program.
