Elizabeth Scott Named to Dallas Bar Association’s Women Empowered to Lead Program

(Dallas) – Akin Gump litigation partner Elizabeth Scott has been named to the Dallas Bar Association’s Women Empowered to Lead in the Legal Profession (WE LEAD) program for 2022.

Launched in 2017, the award-winning program is a series of four half-day sessions running from February 2022 to November 2022. It prepares participants for the unique challenges facing women in the legal profession; empowers, educates and uplifts woman lawyers to take an already-successful law practice to new heights; and prepares them for active professional leadership in their firms, the business world, and the community at large.

Ms. Scott’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, emphasizing defense in False Claims Act cases and representation of private companies and their officers and directors in securities and privacy litigation, investigations and other proceedings. Ms. Scott was recently named among Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award honorees for 2021 (learn more here) and has been recognized by Texas Lawyer as a Lawyer on the Rise (learn more here).
