Financial Times Ranks Akin Gump Among Most Innovative Firms in Asia-Pacific Region
(Hong Kong) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce it has been selected by Financial Times in its inaugural “Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Report” as one of the most innovative law firms in the Asia-pacific region of 2014. Firms selected for this honor have, according to the publication, “brought original thinking and practices to business issues … to what is the most dynamic, and sometimes most challenging, business and legal environment in the world.”
The firm was recognized in the area of finance and capital markets for its work advising Trinity Opportunities Limited as an administrative agent in its provision of $275 million in new funding to Village Roadshow Entertainment Group in a six-year mezzanine debt and equity arrangement. This was the first time that a transaction of this type had been structured and executed wholly within Asia.
