India Business Law Journal Names Akin Gump a Firm to Watch for Third Straight Year
(London) – Akin Gump has been named by India Business Law Journal as one of the publication’s Firms to Watch for 2019.
IBLJ cited Akin Gump’s work advising Indian private equity firm Lighthouse on the closing of its Lighthouse India Fund III, valued at $230 million. In 2018, it highlighted the firm’s “broad range of practice areas” and its India group that “focuses particularly on representing funds investing in India on their fund structuring and transactional work.” Senior counsel Divya Thakur, previously named by IBLJ to its International A-List (click here for more), and partner Prakash Mehta were noted as key members of the firm’s India team.
Akin Gump was also named last year to IBLJ’s list of Deals of the Year 2017 for serving as legal advisor to Tata Power and ICICI Venture Funds Management on international law in a joint investment platform. (Click here to learn more.)
