(Dallas) – Akin Gump financial restructuring associate Rachel Biblo Block has been selected as a semi-finalist for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) 2019 Rising Star Award.
Ms. Biblo Block, whose practice focuses on Chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy litigation and other bankruptcy-related matters, was one of five individuals shortlisted for the award, which recognizes and honors “attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims and noticing agents, academics or other restructuring industry professionals who are actively engaged” in the restructuring field.
IWIRC is committed “to the connection, promotion and success of women in the insolvency and restructuring professions worldwide.” In choosing an award winner, it looks for someone who is relatively new to the restructuring industry and who has made “a marked difference with their involvement and achievements in IWIRC at the local, national and/or international level.”
Winners will be announced at IWIRC’s fall conference luncheon on October 30 in Washington, D.C.
