Jennifer Richter Named a Woman to Watch in Emerging Aviation Technologies
Akin telecom, media & technology practice head Jennifer Richter received a Women to Watch award at the 7th Annual Women in Emerging Aviation Technologies Awards.
Recognized in a ceremony at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. on October 25, Jennifer, along with her fellow Women to Watch honorees, were recognized as the women who are “driving change and leading the industry closer to gender parity” and were selected based on four-pillar criteria:
- Role Model: She sets an example for others, inspires others, and empowers more women to enter the industry.
- Collaboration: She takes a collaborative approach in fostering relationships and opportunities to develop/deliver initiatives focused on advancing the use of drones. Collaborations could be internal or external projects, initiatives, programs, etc.
- Shaping the Industry: She has positively helped shape the public perception of UAS/AAM technology.
- Driving Change: She has demonstrated the ability to influence change through advocacy, vision, and drive.
Jennifer was nominated for this honor because she has been driving change for the drone industry for over a decade, helping to lead the industry/government conversation about needed communications resources, spectrum and enabling systems to support emerging aviation technologies and the drone ecosystem.
