LA Times Names Christopher Spicer, Alissa Miller Among SoCal’s ‘Legal Visionaries’
Los Angeles Times, in its biannual selection of the “standout attorneys” in Southern California, has named Akin media & entertainment (M&E) practice head Christopher Spicer and partner Alissa Miller among its Legal Visionaries.
In the honoree profiles published, Chris is noted “among the preeminent film finance lawyers in the country, regularly leading some of the industry’s highest-visibility deals between independent movie production companies and major financial institutions for household-name film and television projects.” He is noted as “finding creative solutions to complex issues” and as “instrumental to financial institution clients” in a rapidly changing landscape and a competitive environment (read the full profile here).
Alissa, who also serves as partner in charge of Akin’s Los Angeles office, is noted as consistently regarded as being among “the entertainment industry’s top lawyers and dealmakers” and widely recognized as a leader for handling “some of the industry’s highest-visibility deals between independent movie production companies and financial institutions” as well as for her innovative M&E-focused pro bono practice.
