LA Times Names Marissa Román Griffith, Alissa Miller as “Visionaries” in Banking and Finance
(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that entertainment practice partners Marissa Román Griffith and Alissa Miller have been named Banking and Finance Visionaries by the Los Angeles Times.
As the Times notes, “Each of these senior-level executives had demonstrated successes and accomplishments during the last 24 months as well as leadership in their organizations, while impacting change within their communities.”
In her profile, Ms. Román Griffith is noted as “among the very few senior Latina attorneys in private practice specializing in media and entertainment transactions,” as she “regularly handles multimillion-dollar deals for financiers, borrowers, distributors and others involved in various aspects of the production, financing and distribution of film, television and digital content, including credit facilities, domestic and international co-financing agreements and slate transactions.”
Her service on the firm’s L.A. office hiring committee and, for more than 15 years, as a senior mentor for the office’s summer associates is noted, along with her role as co-chair of the office diversity committee and member of the firmwide diversity committee.
