New York Law Journal Names Lauren Leyden a Rising Star
(New York) – Lauren Leyden, a partner in the labor and employment practice at Akin Gump, has been selected by the New York Law Journal as one of its 2017 Rising Stars. The award recognizes 30 of the most promising lawyers in New York under the age of 40.
Ms. Leyden is cited for growing a practice that focuses on the intersection of labor and employment, corporate and bankruptcy law. She routinely leads the labor and employment components of transactional and restructuring engagements. Ms. Leyden also litigates employment disputes in federal and state courts and before various government agencies, and she defends claims alleging employment discrimination, retaliation, workplace harassment and wage and hour violations. In addition, she defends class actions alleging breach of fiduciary duty and prohibited transaction claims under ERISA.
Ms. Leyden and her fellow honorees were chosen for their influence in their respective practice areas in New York and beyond.
