Philadelphia Business Journal Spotlights Akin Gump Partnership with Philadelphia Outward Bound School

(Philadelphia) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that its philanthropic partnership with Philadelphia Outward Bound School has been featured by Philadelphia Business Journal in its 2022 Faces of Philanthropy feature.

The published profile focuses on a charity event last fall in which 119 individuals rappelled off the side of the Commerce Square building in downtown Philadelphia. The event marked a farewell for Akin Gump as the firm relocated to new quarters as well as a fundraiser to support Philadelphia Outward Bound School. The event, titled Building Adventure, raised more than $315,000 for POBS.

Among those rappelling was Akin Gump Philadelphia partner in charge Rubén Muñoz (pictured below l.), who said that “encouraging [young people] to navigate unfamiliar challenges together is important in today’s world.”
