Sergio Urias Selected for Leadership Journal’s 2025 Latino & Hispanic Leadership Award

Akin private equity partner Sergio Urias has been selected among Profiles in Leadership Journal’s 2025 Latino & Hispanic Leadership Award winners in its fifth annual contest.  

According to Leadership Journal, the award winners “have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, a commitment to mentorship and community engagement, and a dedication to fostering leadership excellence in their organizations and industries.”  

Reflecting on the importance of mentorship over the course of his own career, Sergio tells Leadership Journal, “The legal profession can be daunting, especially when navigating cross-border deals and complex regulatory environments. My mentors helped me develop resilience, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the business landscape.”
