The Deal Names Four at Akin Gump as Top Women Dealmakers
(New York) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that four of its partners have been named Top Women Dealmakers in the 3rd Annual Women in Dealmaking issue of The Dealmaker Quarterly.
Recognized as the lawyers “who are making an impact on the dealmaking community, advising on the most important transactions of the year in their field and taking a leadership role in promoting change,” the four partners, along with the areas in which they were selected, are:
- Kerry Berchem, activism
- Alice Hsu, private equity
- Meredith Lahaie, restructuring
- Andrea Lucan, M&A
To be eligible for the list, The Deal says lawyers must be partners based in the United States and have shown the ability “to navigate complex transactions, maintain strong client relationships and/or lead in and out of the boardroom.” In addition the publication says it looked for women doing “great things” in mentorship, advancing gender diversity and thought leadership.
With four partners on the list, Akin Gump had more individuals selected than any other law firm.
