The Deal Selects Steven Franklin and Ryan Kim as 2021 Rising Stars

(Hong Kong and New York) – Akin Gump corporate partners Steven Franklin and Ryan Kim have been selected by The Deal as two of its Rising Stars for 2021.

Mr. Franklin is noted for advising hedge funds on shareholder activism situations, investments and joint ventures. He also has significant experience providing investor-side advice on complex corporate transactions and investment opportunities, such as M&A, merger arbitrage opportunities and private equity investments, across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Kim concentrates on a wide variety of domestic and international debt financings and complex restructurings. The publication notes his work with Vista Credit Partners in 2019 on a $175 million global recapitalization of Meltwater Group. (Click here to learn more.)
