Tom Davidson and Jennifer Richter Repeat as Cablefax Top Lawyers Awards Winners
(Washington, D.C.) – Tom Davidson, head of the communications practice at Akin Gump, and Jennifer Richter, a partner in the practice, have been named to Cablefax’s Top Lawyers Awards list for the second straight year. Davidson and Richter are among a group of more than 60 lawyers chosen for the awards, which recognize “the legal titans of cable, broadband, broadcast TV, wireless and Internet.”
Davidson noted that the past year has been a busy one, with “increased merger and acquisition activity and investment in the media sector, including increased consolidation and transactional activity among existing media groups.”
For Richter, 2017 “was punctuated by video relay service rate reform at the FCC and the FAA’s release of a report on remote tracking and identification of drones.” She expects 2018 to be dominated by spectrum band sharing.
Cablefax described the winners, who were identified by the publication’s editors and readers, as those “who help companies navigate an increasingly chaotic business environment, from the intricacies of FCC policy to programming negotiations to copyright and intellectual property disputes and beyond.”
