- 15 Aug 2024 - TE Connectivity Corporation; TE Connectivity HK Limited - No Denial Order; USD $5,800,000
On August 15, 2024, BIS issued an order approving a settlement between BIS and TE Connectivity Corporation & TE Connectivity HK Limited (the “Respondents”) for a $5,800,000 civil monetary penalty in connection with violations of 15 C.F.R. §§ 744.3 and 744.11. Specifically, on 79 occasions between December 2015 and October 2019, the Respondents exported without authorization U.S.-origin EAR99 items--including space-grade and general-use wires, printed circuit board connectors, multi-use wire, temperature and pressure scanners, connectors, and clamps--to BIS Entity List parties in China for restricted end uses in UAV applications.
