The Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”) issued a proposed rule that would amend the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) to modify existing restrictions on military and intelligence end uses and end users and related U.S. person controls. The proposed rule also adds restrictions on military-support end users. Comments on the rule are due by September 27, 2024.
- 26 Jul 2024 (Russia - Countermeasures):
The Russian Central Bank increases the key rate from 16% to 18% per annum.
- 26 Jul 2024 (Russia - Countermeasures):
The Russian Central Bank clarified the regime of C-type bank accounts.
- 23 Jul 2024 (Russia - Countermeasures):
A total of 13 Japanese nationals were added to the Russian list of "personally sanctioned" individuals.
