Akin Gump Hosts Industry Program on Topics and Trends in Energy Transactions

Oct 5, 2016

Reading Time : 1 min

The program was divided into two panels, the first covering M&A and private investment, the second bankruptcy and restructuring. Among the topics discussed in the former were the potential of emergent IPOs and thawing capital markets, the evolution of deal terms for financial sponsors and the foreseeable fate for companies that have gone into bankruptcy and re-emerged. The latter covered topics such as the view by traditional banks of energy credit facilities, possible opportunities for alternative debt providers and the status of companies that did not go into bankruptcy and, thereby, clean their balance sheet.

The program was presented both via webinar and live in the firm’s office.
