Date Complaint Filed | February 4, 2025 |
Venue | United States District Court for the District of Columbia |
Summary |
Class action Plaintiffs, nine current FBI employees who worked on January 6 and/or the Mar-a-Lago cases (appearing anonymously), are seeking injunctive relief to stop Defendant Department of Justice from “the aggregation, storage, reporting, publication or dissemination” of information identifying FBI personnel involved in the relevant cases. The suit alleges Exec. Order 14147 violates the Civil Service Reform Act 5 U.S.C. §§ 2301 and 2303 because of President Trump’s directive to the DOJ to “conduct a review and purge of FBI personnel” involved in the relevant investigations and prosecutions. |
