Immediate Assessment of Aviation Safety (Trump EO Tracker)

This Executive Order states that all articles that are products of Canada shall be subject to an additional 25 percent ad valorem rate of duty, energy products excluded.  With respect to energy or energy resources, such Canadian products shall be subject to an additional 10 percent ad valorem rate of duty. Also expands the scope of the national emergency, under the NEA and IEEPA, to deal the influx of illegal aliens and illicit drugs into the United States from Canada.

This Executive Order states that all products of Mexico be subject to an additional 25% ad valorem rate of duty, beginning after 12:01 a.m. on February 4, 2025. These tariffs can be removed if Mexico demonstrates they have taken adequate steps to alleviate the illegal migration and illicit drug crisis through cooperative action.

This document orders that all products of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) be subject to an additional 10% ad valorem rate of duty, beginning after 12:01 a.m. on February 4, 2025. These tariffs can be removed if the PRC demonstrates they have taken adequate steps to alleviate the opioid crisis through cooperative actions.

Summary

Order an immediate return to merit-based recruitment, hiring, and promotion, elevating safety and ability as the paramount standard.  Also ordering the Secretary of Transportation and the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration to review all hiring decisions and changes to safety protocols made during the prior 4 years, and to take such corrective action as necessary to achieve uncompromised aviation safety, including the replacement of any individuals who do not meet qualification standards.

Combat anti-Semitism vigorously, using all available and appropriate legal tools, to prosecute, remove, or otherwise hold to account the perpetrators of unlawful anti-Semitic harassment and violence. 

Provide a grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American Independence on July 4, 2026. Establish the White House Task Force on Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday (Task Force 250). 

Enforce the law to ensure that recipients of Federal funds providing K-12 education comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination in various contexts and protecting parental rights. All relevant agencies shall monitor compliance with section 111(b) of title I of Division J of Public Law 108-447, which provides that “[e]ach educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by the educational institution,” including by verifying compliance with each educational institution that receives Federal funds.
