(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump chairperson Kim Koopersmith offered the following statement on the death of Japanese former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe:

“On behalf of all of us at Akin Gump, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the people of Japan on the death of former Prime Minister Abe. This senseless and tragic killing is a shock to us all. We have long valued our partnership with the Government of Japan, which began during Prime Minister Abe’s tenure, and we stand with our friends in Japan in this moment of terrible sadness and grief.”
