In early August, Akin Gump litigation associate Roxanne Tizravesh of the firm’s New York office became the first Akin Gump attorney to work full-time as an extern at the offices of inMotion, an organization providing free legal services to low-income women in New York City.  Tizravesh (and future Akin Gump externs) will work in four-month rotations, providing in-court representation in challenging matters involving, among other issues, divorce, immigration and spousal support.

Akin Gump is a Corporate Partner of inMotion and has provided pro bono and financial support since 2007.  Kim Koopersmith, managing partner-United States, serves as the firm’s Corporate Partner representative to inMotion, and counsel Elizabeth Young serves on inMotion’s Junior Advisory Board.
