Akin Gump Expands Corporate and Banking Practice in New York

(New York, NY) - Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Mark J. Volow has joined the firm’s corporate and banking practice as a partner in New York. Previously, Mr. Volow was a partner at Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts in New York.
Mark Volow represents commercial and investment banks as lead agents for large syndicated credit facilities and handles a wide range of credit transactions, including structured transactions, credit enhancements, liquidity facilities, acquisition financing, and multijurisdictional and multicurrency transactions. Mr. Volow has represented arranging banks in credit facilities for media and telecommunications companies, including prominent borrowers in the cable television, wireless communication, television programming and newspaper publishing businesses. He has also handled many credit transactions involving electric utilities and their holding companies. Mr. Volow received his B.A. from Yale University in 1977 and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1980. He is a member of the New York Bar.
