A trio of Akin Gump London representatives—counsel Matthew Durward-Thomas, associate Srishti Kalro and legal recruiting and development manager Joanna Hewitt—took part in a CV/interview skills panel Q&A today as part of the firm’s ongoing partnership with the Social Mobility Foundation (SMF). The SMF is a charity that aims to make a practical improvement in social mobility for young people by providing opportunities and networks of support for 16-17 year olds who are unable to get them from their schools or families.
The trio answered questions from students in a session that focused on practical tips on how to format an effective CV and how to communicate strengths and transferable skills in any upcoming university or internship applications/interviews.
This summer, Akin Gump partnered with the SMF for a virtual internship program in its London office. More details on that program may be found here.
