Akin Gump litigation partner Claudius Modesti was a featured guest on the podcast Ganbei, which focuses on Chinese business matters.

The episode “Will Chinese Companies Have to Delist Off US Stock Exchanges?” discussed Chinese companies’ ongoing IPOs in the United States in the face of a proposed rule that would require Chinese companies to delist off U.S. stock exchanges if the U.S. cannot review their auditors’ working papers for three consecutive years.

The show’s host notes that the relevant U.S. agency is the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and that Modesti was, for years, its Head of Enforcement.

Among the topics covered are the role and mission of PCAOB, Chinese companies’ history of listing on U.S. exchanges, the aforementioned proposed rule for PCAOB, and disclosure requirements
