Akin lobbying & public policy senior counsel Josh Teitelbaum appeared on CNBC in a documentary titled, “State of Freight Inside the planning for Trump’s new tariffs war, from the biggest company to the smallest family business.” The documentary assesses the possible impact of U.S. tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China, and their potential effect on the shipping and imports industry.

Josh tells CNBC, “This is the kind of thing that causes importers, shippers, customs brokers nightmares because you’re essentially changing the price after it’s been imported and who is going to have to pay that difference becomes a logistical nightmare.”

He continues saying, “China will retaliate, Mexico will retaliate, European countries will retaliate if we become more hostile for them.”
