The participation of Akin Gump litigation partner Claudius Modesti on the “Litigation and Regulatory Risks” panel at the 14th Annual Audit Conference in December 2019 has been reported by The CPA Journal.
Modesti, along with fellow panelists from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a Big 4 accounting firm, discussed a variety of topics such as critical audit matters, auditor independence and SEC enforcement, and coordination between the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the SEC.
