Contact:
(Washington, D.C.) Two partners and two senior advisors from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP were ranked among the 30 most powerful lobbyists in Washington, D.C., by First Street Research Group in its inaugural “First Street 30.”
First Street Research Group, a division of CQ Press that specializes in political intelligence analysis, used the information in its databases to arrive at the top ten “most influential and connected lobbyists in the industry” in three categories: ex-members of Congress, ex-congressional staffers and professional lobbyists. From Akin Gump’s public law and policy practice, former congressmen Vic Fazio and Bill Paxon were featured in the first category, Jeffrey McMillen in the second and Barney Skladany in the third.
Selections were made on the basis of revenue, number of clients and client size. Akin Gump was the only firm with four practitioners ranked; no other firm had more than two.
Founded in 1945, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a leading international law firm, numbers more than 800 lawyers and advisors in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
