For its article “A COVID-19 Dilemma: What to Say When An Employee Gets Sick,” on health privacy concerns in the workplace during the coronavirus pandemic, The Hollywood Reporter quoted Akin Gump health care and life sciences senior counsel Jo-Ellyn Sakowitz Klein.

Klein, whose practice focuses on privacy and data security matters, said, “At this point, the information that the employer shares in this situation should be specific enough to give employees a sense for whether they might be at risk, but not so specific that it would be easy to identify the affected individual. In many situations, finding this balance could be tricky.”
