John Goodgame Authors Article on Master Limited Partnership Governance

John Goodgame, a partner in Akin Gump’s energy and global transactions practice, wrote an article for The Business Lawyer addressing the state of master limited partnership (MLP) governance.
The article, “New Developments in Master Limited Partnership Governance,” is a follow-up to one that Goodgame wrote in 2005. At the time, MLP governance had become somewhat standardized. Since then, however, many MLPs have been formed or restructured in ways that are different from the earlier standard MLP governance model. This article describes the changes that have occurred in the MLP marketplace and discusses these “new” MLP governance models.
