Kenneth Markowitz Quoted by The Hill on COP27 Climate Summit

Akin Gump climate change group co-leader Ken Markowitz has been quoted by The Hill for its article “Four issues to watch at the COP27 global climate summit,” which discusses the upcoming United Nations climate summit starting on November 11 in Sharm el-Sheik Egypt.

Regarding the opportunity for corporations to describe how they will meet climate-focused goals, Markowitz, who has decades of experience advising companies, governments and environmental groups on environmental law, climate change and sustainability issues, said, “I do think that we are going to see more information on what exactly companies are doing to hit those goals, what their timelines are for those goals, and I would expect … that we would see certain things disappear from how those goals are stated and reiterated.”
