Law360 has quoted Akin lobbying & public policy senior counsel Reggie Babin in its article “Firms Taking Cautious Approach To AI-Assisted Lobbying.”

The article discusses potential avenues for lobbyists to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their workstreams, but cautions concerns over data accuracy and client confidentiality.

Reggie emphasized the transformative potential of AI, adding, “I think the bigger question is how significant those changes will be and how quickly we will experience them.”

He suggested that AI-powered tools that handle administrative tasks, such as bill and hearing transcript analysis as well as schedule coordination, could “save a surprisingly large amount of time, because so much of what we do is about scheduling meetings and having person-to-person conversations.”
