Reuters has quoted Akin Gump chief human resources officer Meg Meserole in the article “The latest law firm benefit? How Akin Gump is helping lawyers create a college nest egg.” The article reports on Akin Gump’s new college savings plan benefit for U.S. lawyers and staff that will allow them to save for future education costs through automatic payroll deductions.

Meserole also pointed out that the benefit provides a “convenience factor” for those who want to be more intentional about setting money aside for their children’s futures.

“This particular benefit is especially important to promote, for the most part, for parents who are planning for a very large financial commitment,” Meserole added.
