Akin Gump senior counsel Michael Kliegman has served as editor of the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Business Tax Quarterly. The Spring-Summer issue includes news on a variety of topics, including from the IRS and Congress, as well as articles on recurring issues confronting business lawyers.

One story, in particular, that’s included in the issue is a letter to the editor of Tax Notes by Monte Jackel, senior counsel at Akin Gump, addressing President Trump’s executive order on tax regulations. Jackel’s letter, as Business Tax Quarterly points out, “helps to explain the relative dearth of new administrative guidance during the past few months.”
