Akin lobbying & public policy senior counsel Reggie Babin was quoted by The Washington Post for its article “World leaders are gathering at the U.K.’s AI Summit. Doom is on the agenda.” The article looks at an upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) summit being held in Bletchley Park, north of London, beginning November 1.

Reggie, who was recently quoted by the Post on President Biden’s AI executive order (learn more here), said, regarding the U.S.’s lead over the U.K. in AI industrial power, “Our friends in the U.K. are very much invested in growing the sector. There may be some reticence in limiting what can be done now in order to ensure you’re able to maximize the upside of what can be done later.”

On the topic of the President’s AI executive order, Akin lawyers recently published a comprehensive survey of its contents. Read it here.
