In the podcast, Johnson speaks about the recent annual audit report concluded that while operator’s cybersecurity practices mostly comply with legally required cyber measures, there are still potential infractions or weaknesses, and there can be penalties for these weaknesses, depending on the severity of the violation.
Johnson further analyzes the major recurring themes of the 14 lessons learned from the FERC audit, with reliability as the overarching concern. He also discusses the reliability standards developed by North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
