Akin Gump’s technology practice is pleased to announce the launch of a new technology focused legal podcast, TechTalk with Akin Gump in collaboration with P3 Tech Consulting and MJN Associates, creators of several popular tech podcasts. The first episode will air on Thursday October 13th and will feature the firm’s infrastructure and transportation practice head and co-lead of the firm’s cross practice autonomous systems and advanced mobility team Susan Lent.
TechTalk with Akin Gump aims to be the ultimate information source on the hottest trends at the intersection of technology and the law, including autonomous systems and advanced mobility, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, blockchain and digital assets, and more. Dawn Zoldi, P3 Tech’s CEO and Founder, a 28-year US Air Force vet and licensed attorney, will host the show, and Michael Pehel, the former Chair of InterDrone, will produce it. This is the same team that produces The Dawn of Drones (presented by DroneLife), and the Full Crew and Full TILT (Tech Industry Leadership Talks) podcasts.
Each 45-minute episode will feature Zoldi in conversation with an attorney from Akin Gump’s technology practice and an industry leader from cutting-edge technology companies. The trios will discuss various emerging technologies and the latest legal, regulatory and policy updates that impact technology companies. The show will stream across multiple social media platforms including Akin Gump’s YouTube channel.
The head of the firm’s communications and information technology practice, Jennifer Richter spoke to why the firm decided to launch the podcast saying, “we wanted to showcase how our award-winning cross-disciplinary technology team - which leverages insights and capabilities from various practices and offices - successfully tackles the hurdles in this uncharted space innovatively, together with the clients whose businesses we advance.”
The first episode focuses on electric and autonomous cars and trucks and policies surrounding them.
