On April 3, Akin Gump senior policy counsel Virgil Miller participated in a video webinar organized by the National Minority Quality Forum on the topic of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and its health care provisions.
Miller, who served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Cedric L. Richmond (D-LA) and has Hill experience focusing on health care, discussed sources of funding contained in the CARES Act, accelerated and advance payments for hospitals, telehealth and the CARES Act, COVID myths, and concerns for front-line workers, among other topics.
